Dr. Itirani Samanta occupies a very signficant position in contemporary Odisha. Writing is her first love. In fact, from early childhood, she started cuddling up emotions and scribbled down her feelings on a regular basis. That in later stage culminated into stories, novels, poems, dramas, features, articles of social relevance, women empowerment & gender related issues.

Education is the guiding light that paves the way for a brighter future, and it is the children of today who inspire us to strive for a better tomorrow. This belief was instilled in me by our mother Smt. Nilimarani Samanta. She recognised that to improve the quality of life in our native village of Kalarabank, we needed to establish better educational facilities. Thus, our founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta embarked on the mission of constructing a school in our village, transforming it into a smart village with the sole purpose of providing quality education and paving the path for social and economic upliftment.
Hailing from abject poverty, I experienced the limitations of scarce opportunities. However, fueled by an insatiable spirit and an unwavering determination, I managed to overcome these obstacles and reach the position I am in today. It is this journey that ignited my passion to ensure that every child of today receives the opportunities they truly deserve to make a better tomorrow. We could only climb up the socio-economic ladder through education and sheer hard work to succeed.
Hence through Kalinga English Medium School, we are dedicated to providing students with knowledge that goes beyond the confines of textbooks, aiming to offer them an enriching and larger-than-life learning experience. The key to unlocking this extraordinary journey lies in fostering curiosity. The more inquisitive one is, the greater the opportunities for growth and learning become. As an educator, I am committed to nurturing this innate curiosity within each student, encouraging them to embark on a never-ending quest for knowledge and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Witnessing the remarkable success of the Kalinga English Medium School fills me with overwhelming joy. Establishing a school that offers a quality education at the grassroots is no small feat. The realization that our school not only provides education of the highest calibre but also outshines many city and urban-based schools fills me with an immense sense of pride.
